The Elba Central Area is the technical heart of the island, an area where the trails are uncompromising and reward those who know how to ride. Here you’ll find a variety of descents, all with character. Laconella DH is the most aggressive: steep, technical, and physical. Rock, lines that need to be read carefully, and no room for distractions. If you make a mistake, you pay. If you do it right, you’ll be impressed.

Barbatoja is technical but more fluid: it alternates between guided sections and flowing sections, a steady pace, and great fun. It’s no walk in the park, but it’s one of those descents you’ll want to do again in a heartbeat. Cornicione is the ideal choice for e-bikes: long, with a manageable elevation gain and pedaled sections that allow you to maintain speed and flow. Just the right amount of technical, without being punishing.
